Directions

Directions to New Location:

General Location:  We have moved about 10 miles north of our original location.  We are now located in the Biotech Park on Clopper Road in Gaithersburg, MD, a suburb of Washington DC.  It is convenient to I495, I270, and the nearest intersection is that of Clopper Road with Quince Orchard Road.  Nearby is the main site of NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

On I270, look for the exit for NIST, Clopper Road and Quince Orchard and then bear right at the end of the ramp to head West.  After you cross the Quince Orchard Road intersection, continue on Clopper Road.  You will pass some apartment complexes on both sides.  Then, you will see a large parking area and red brick buildings on the left (and a bowling alley complex on the right).

Turn Left form Clopper Road into the parking lot and proceed to the back, along the pine trees, to the entrance opposite from the main road (South Entrance) and park anywhere without any parking fee.

If you miss this turn, take a left at the light, at Pheasant Run Drive, and then take your first left and continue straight to the South entrance, near the pine trees and small homes.

From Virginia: Take I495 to I270 North, take the exit for NIST, Clopper Road and Quince Orchard and then bear right at the end of the ramp.

From areas north of Gaithersburg from I270:  Take I270 South, then take the exit for NIST, Clopper Road and Quince Orchard and then bear right at the end of the ramp.

From the north, traveling South on I95: Take the Inter-county Connector, ICC, MD Route 200, westbound all the way to the end – to 370.  Then, take a right on Great Seneca Road, all the way to Quince Orchard.  Then take a Right on Quince Orchard to Clopper Road (you will pass NIST on your right) and then turn left on Clopper Road.  Then follow the directions above, under General Location near the top of this page.

By Air: The area is served by three major airports all within a 30-60 minute drive: Reagan National, Baltimore-Washington, and Dulles International Airports. (In planning your travel, be reminded that afternoon and evening flights in the summer are often delayed by thunderstorms in this area.)

By Metro: There is no convenient Metro Rail access.  You could take the Metro to the Shady Grove exit and then get a ride from there.
